The Directorate of Higher Secondary Education (DHSE), Odisha on Wednesday directed the principals of all Higher Secondary schools to upload students’ online/offline attendance on daily basis. 

In a letter issued by Dr Sanatan Panda, Joint Director, DHSE, the principals of the higher secondary schools have been asked to upload the attendance of Class-XI and XII students on regularly by 4 pm. The uploading of stream-wise students’ attendance is for onward transmission to the Government, read the letter. 

In the letter, the Joint Director has informed that a new attendance module is implemented in the HS schools e-Space to collect daily online/offline attendance of students.  
The principals have also been asked to follow certain steps to upload the attendance. 

The steps are as follows:
1) Login to your HSS e-Space
2) Expand QMT from left menu
3) Click on ‘Daily Attendance’ under QMT
4) Select ‘Online/Offline’ from dropdown 
5) Update the daily attendance

A report in this regard will also be generated at the DHSE (O) level for compilation purpose, read the letter. 

In the letter, the principals have also been warned that non-reporting of attendance will be viewed seriously.
