In view of the approaching cyclonic storm Jawad, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has re-scheduled the UGC-NET December 2020 and June 2021. Examinations in Odisha and Andhra Pradesh were scheduled to be held on December 5.

“Due to the red alert issued in Odisha and Andhra Pradesh for Jawad Cyclone for 4th Dec, UGC-NET December 2020 and June 2021 Examinations, scheduled to be held on December 5, has been rescheduled in the two states,” the NTA said. 

The NTA said the examinations of subjects like Odia, Telugu, Labour Welfare/Personnel Management/Industrial Relations/ Labour and Social Welfare/Human Resource Management and Social work have been cancelled in Bhubaneswar, Gunupur, Cuttack, Berhampur (Ganjam), Puri and Vishakhapatnam. 

“The Examination for all other cities of Odisha, Andhra Pradesh and all other States will be held as per schedule. The revised datesheet for the rescheduled Examination will be uploaded later,” the agency added.  

Similarly, the entrance examination for MBA (IB) 2022-24 of Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, scheduled for December 5, has been postponed in Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam (Andhra), Bhubaneswar, Sambalpur, Cuttack (Odisha) and Kolkata, Durgapur (WB). 

“In view of the cyclone which is expected to hit the coastal areas of Odisha on 04.12.2021 and the consequent disruption of normal life in the coastal areas of Odisha, Andhra Pradesh and West Bengal, it has been decided to postpone the exam scheduled to be held on December 5, 2021, to a later date,” the NTA said. 

“The date of the exam for candidates who are admitted to exam centres in the above-mentioned cities will be announced later. Candidates are advised to be in touch with the NTA website www.nta.ac.in or https://iift.nta.nic.in for further updates on the exam,” the recruiting agency added.
