The State School and Mass Education Minister Sameer Dash on Friday said that class 10 and 12 exams will be held at the right time and students should be prepared for the same.

Speaking to the media, Dash said, "We expect the current academic session will end smoothly and class 6th to 12th exams will be held at the right time. We hope, results will also be declared at the right time."

The Minister further advised students to be mentally prepared for the exams as the government will ensure no delay in the conduct of exams and also declaration of results in 2022.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Council for Higher Secondary Education (CHSE), Odisha, had cancelled class 12 board exam this year and later declared results prepared on the basis of an alternative means of assessment.

Similarly, class 10 board exam was also cancelled and the Board of Secondary Education, Odisha, later released an alternative method of assessment to award marks. 

The assessment of marks was then done on the basis of Class 9 and Class 10 examinations. More than 5 lakh students had registered themselves for the class 10 exam in the State.
