Barely days after postponing the Board exams, the Council for Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) has issued a revised time table for the conduct of the Class 10th and 12th Semester 1 exams on its official website.

As per the latest notification, CISCE has clarified that both the ICSE and ISC Semester 1 will be conducted in offline mode.

Earlier, the CISCE in its circular issued on October 19 had informed schools about the postponement of the ICSE and ISC Semester 1 online examinations citing ‘reasons beyond our control.’

The said examinations were postponed following numerous emails from heads of schools, parents, students, who had expressed their difficulties and apprehensions if the Semester 1 examinations were to be held online.

“The CISCE being a student friendly Board, after much deliberations thus decided to conduct the ICSE and ISC Semester 1 examinations in offline mode. These examinations will be conducted in the candidates’ respective schools. All candidates will be required to report to their schools, as per the scheduled examination dates,” the CISCE said in its latest circular.

In its revised time table, CISCE has said that the Class 12 exams would begin from November 22 and Class 10 exams from November 29.

According to the revised release, ICSE or Class 10 exams would be conducted for a duration of 1 hour to 1.5 hours, depending on the particular subject. But ISC or Class 12 exams would be conducted for 1.5 hours for all papers.

The Board has further informed that in addition to the time indicated on the timetable for attempting the paper, 10 minutes will be given to read the question paper. The Question Paper-Cum-Answer Booklet will be made available at 1:50 pm on the day of the examination.
