CHSE Odisha
Will the annual Plus 2 examination results be announced on May 6? Such a message is now going viral on social media. Taking note of it, the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) on Saturday came forward and termed the viral message as fake.
The message had created and gripped thousands of students across Odisha as rumors regarding the declaration date of the Plus Two (Class 12) examination results began circulating on social media and various online platforms. According to the viral notice, the results would supposedly be announced on May 6 at 10 AM—a claim that has sparked uncertainty and anxiety among examinees and their families.
However, in response to the growing speculation, the CHSE, Odisha, has issued a clear statement denying the authenticity of this date. Officials from the council have categorically stated that no official date has been announced yet regarding the publication of the Plus Two examination results.
“The circulating notice is completely baseless and false. CHSE has not released any date for the declaration of results,” said a senior official of the CHSE while appealing to students not to fall prey to such misinformation.
Evaluation Work
It may be recalled that the Plus Two board examinations for various streams were conducted across Odisha and concluded on March 27, 2025. Following this, the evaluation process began promptly on April 2 at over 1,276 evaluation centers spread across the state.
As of May 1, sources within the CHSE have confirmed that the evaluation of answer sheets has been completed. The remaining back-end processes, including compilation, cross-checking, and digital uploading of marks, are currently in progress.
Exam Controller’s Statement: Results Likely by Third Week of May
Addressing the concerns, the Exam Controller of CHSE stated that while the evaluation work is almost complete, the Council is taking utmost care to ensure accuracy and fairness in result compilation. He assured that the results will most likely be declared by the third week of May, but an exact date will only be communicated through the official CHSE website and trusted media outlets.
“Students and parents are advised not to believe in unofficial messages, social media forwards, or viral notices unless they are confirmed by CHSE through an official press release or the council’s website,” he added.
Final Word
As lakhs of students await their future academic or career paths based on the Plus Two results, CHSE has once again stressed the importance of relying only on verified information. The council is expected to issue an official notification with the confirmed result date shortly.
Until then, students are advised to remain calm and avoid falling into the trap of rumours, and instead keep an eye on the official CHSE Odisha website for any official updates.
