Last month, the Supreme Court had asked central and state boards to declare the results for class 12 exams by July 31.

Odisha government had decided to conduct the exams for class 12 from May 18. Later Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik announced the cancellation of the board exams due to the rising Covid-19 cases in the second wave.

The results have been tabulated according to an alternative assessment formula on the basis of marks obtained in Class 10, Class 11 and Class 12 internal exams.

According to official sources, the fate of over 3.50 lakh students will be decided with the new evaluation system.

However, no decision on the results of Arts and Vocational studies has been taken yet. A petition in this regard has been filed in the Supreme Court by the State Government, requesting some more time to publish the results of Arts and Vocational streams. They are most likely to be published after July 31, said sources from Odisha’s School and Mass Education Department.
