CHSE Annual Higher Secondary Exam 2025: Internal assessment, project and practical examination schedule released

The Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE), Odisha on Wednesday announced the dates for the internal assessment, project examination and practical examination of Annual Higher Secondary Examinations-2025. 

As per the notification, while the internal assessment and project Examination will begin on December 23 and continue till December 30, the practical examination will commence on January 2 and conclude on January 12 in all Higher Secondary Schools/Colleges in the State. 

Annual HS Internal Assessment (Regular)/ Project (Regular & Ex-Regular) Examination-2025.

Date: 23.12.2024 to 30.12.2024

•    Science: All non-practical subjects
•    Arts: All non-practical subjects.
•    Commerce: All non-practical/non-project subjects.
•    Vocational: All non-practical subjects.
•    Correspondence course: All non-practical subjects.
•    Projects: Project evaluation and viva-voce for subjects of commerce stream.

Annual HS Practical (Regular and Ex-Regular) Examination-2025.

•    Dates: 02.01.2025 to 12.01.2025
•    Science: Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Electronics, Computer Science, Bio-technology, Statistics, Geography, Geology, Information Technology.
•    Arts: Education, Information Technology, Psychology, Anthropology, Indian music, home science, statistics, Geography.
•    Commerce: Information Technology, computer application.
•    Integrated vocational: TTV, FTV, PHV, OMV, BNV, ITV (Arts, Science and Commerce), DAV, HOV, EDV, MTV (Science)
•    Practical for vocational trade subjects: IIT, MST (MSP, MSF), AGT, PLT, ATT, EHT, THT, RTT,CNT, BWT (Arts, Science and Commerce).
•    Practical for all trade papers (Paper-III & IV): Vocational (old and new papers).

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

1.    The examination (lnternal Assessment/Project and Practical) will be held as per the programme even if any of the date(s) is subsequently declared as holiday(s).
2.    Candidates are advised to enter the examination centre 30 minutes before the commencement of the examination in a sitting and enter the examination room/hall before 15 minutes of the examination to occupy their seats allotted to them.
3.    Before sitting a candidate has to ensure that she/he has occupied the seat allotted to her/him.
4.    The examinations will be conducted under CCTV surveillance. The centre superintendents are requested to ensure that CCTV is made functional in all examination halls well in advance of the commencement of examination and to see that CCTVs are functioning throughout all sittings uninterruptedly.
5.    For the project evaluation and viva-voce in commerce stream, groups are to be formed taking minimum 24 students in a group. Evaluation and viva-voice of a group is to be completed in two hours. The project evaluation and viva-voce shall be conducted by the concerned subject teacher of the institution only. There shall be no provision of external examiner for this purpose.
6.    Any omission and commission in the programme must be brought to the notice of the Controller of Examinations immediately.
7.    Question papers for internal assessment are to be prepared by the concerned subject teachers strictly following the pattern given vide notification no. 1805/10.05.2024 and 3416/21.09.2024 of CHSE for regular candidates registered in 2023.
8.    Project work should be handwritten by the students within 6 pages [A4 size paper) as assigned by the concerned subject teacher on the topic from the prescribed syllabus.
