CBSE Term 2 exam results: Know steps for verification and re-evaluation of answer copies

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) recently announced the much awaited board examination results of class 10 and 12.

After announcing the results, the CBSE has released an important notice for the students regarding verification of marks, obtaining scanned photocopy of evaluated answer book(s) and re-evaluation of answer(s).

CBSE, however, clarified that the evaluation of answer copies is done as part of a ‘well-settled policy’. If the students are not satisfied with their evaluation, they can opt for any of the above mentioned measures.

Important Instructions:

All the requests need to be made by the applicants within the specified period. A processing fee will be charged and only a single application for each step per candidate will be accepted. The students will have to surrender the marksheet cum certificate in cases where there is a change in marks (both increase or decrease).

Verification of marks:

Processing charge Rs 500 per subject. In case of change of marks, the first communication that marks have been changed (increase/decrease) will be provided. Once the result is re-calculated, the actual increase of decrease of marks will be provided.

Obtaining a photocopy of evaluated answer book: Only those candidates who will apply for verification of marks online will be eligible to apply for obtaining photocopy of answer book in those subjects. The candidates will have to pay a processing fee of Rs 700 per subject for class 12 and Rs 500 per subject for class 10.

The applications submitted on behalf of the candidate and also incomplete application will be rejected and fees forfeited. If the candidate desires to challenge the marks awarded to any question, they will have to apply online for re-evaluation of marks.

Re-evaluation of evaluated answer book(s)

Only those candidates, who applied for obtaining a photocopy of the evaluated answer book, shall be eligible to apply for re-evaluation or challenge the marks awarded to any question.

As per CBSE notice, request for re-evaluation shall be accepted only for theory portion at Rs 100 per question.

Complete Schedule Applying

Online for verification of marks: July 26 to July 28, 2022

Fee: Rs 500 per subject for class 10 and 12

Obtaining photocopy of evaluated answer books: August 8 to August 9, 2022

Fee: Rs 500 per answer book for class 10 and Rs 700 per subject for class 12.

Applying for re-evaluation: August 13 to August 14, 2022

Fee: Rs 100 per question for class 10 and class 12.
