The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has launched the registration process for the 2025 supplementary examinations for private candidates of Classes 10 and 12. Applications can be submitted from May 30 to June 17, 2025, through the official portal, cbse.gov.in. The exams are set to begin on July 15, 2025.
Students classified under the ‘compartment’ category and those aiming to enhance their previous scores are eligible to apply. However, regular students who need to appear for a compartment exam must complete the process via their respective schools.
Private students who appeared in the 2025 board exams and either received a compartment result or wish to improve their performance can register for the supplementary exams. While Class 10 students are allowed to appear for a maximum of two subjects, Class 12 candidates may select one subject for improvement.
CBSE will publish a detailed date sheet for the supplementary exams in the coming weeks. Admit cards are expected to be issued in the first week of July 2025.
