CBSE issues important notice on Single Girl Child Scholarship 2023

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released an important notice regarding the Single Girl Child Scholarship 2023. The CBSE has invited online applications from eligible candidates for the Single Girl Child Scholarship 2023.

The Single Girl Child Scholarship scheme was introduced by the CBSE in the year 2006.

Eligibility

The single girl child passed Class 10 from the CBSE affiliated school and pursuing her education in class 11 and 12 in the CBSE affiliated schools.

The girl students, who are the only child of their parents and have secured 60 percent or more marks in the first five subjects in class 10, are eligible for the award of a scholarship.

The monthly tuition fee should not exceed Rs 1500 per month in class 10 and 10 percent enhancement for classes 11 and 12.

The scholarship awarded shall be renewed for a period of one year i.e. successful completion of class 11 and the student has scored 50 percent or more marks in class 11 and promoted to class 12.

NRI applicants are also eligible for the scholarship. The tuition fee for the NRIs has been decided to be a maximum of Rs 6,000 per month.

Schedule

Submission of online application by the applicant from September 19 to October 18, 2023.

Verification of application by school from September 25 to October 25, 2023.
