The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Monday issued a notice regarding the Indian Navy Quiz (THINQ-22).

‘THINQ’ is a unique national level quiz competition and flagship event of the Indian Navy to celebrate ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ and commemorate the glorious journey of 75 years of independence. Already invitations have been sent to 7500 schools across the country and CBSE has also asked school principals and teachers to pass on the information so that the students may participate and avail the maximum benefit.

The registrations for the national-level quiz has already started and the preliminary rounds are scheduled to be held between August 22 and September 22, 2022. The semi finals and finals will be held at the Indian Naval Bases in November.

“Children would have an opportunity to experience the semi-finals and finals being onboard the Aircraft Carrier INS Vikramaditya or the deck of an indigenously designed & built frontline warship or at the grand setting of the largest Naval Academy in Asia, the prestigious Indian Naval Academy (INA) at Ezhimala in Kerala. The participants of these rounds would experience Naval operations or be a part of the passing out parade at the INA,” the CBSE letter read.

Other Details:

The event will be conducted by a professional quiz master team. Three online and two offline rounds are planned to finalise 16 qualifying teams for the semi-finals. Eight teams would be part of the final round. The semi-finals and finals are planned to be conducted at a naval base for which details will be revealed as the quiz progresses.
