The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued guidelines for conducting practical examinations, project and internal assessment for the students of classes 10 and 12.

As per the latest notice, the CBSE has stated that the bifurcation of Term-I and Term-II shall be kept in mind while making preparations and planning for the practicals.

“The practical examinations/project/ internal assessment shall be conducted from March 2, 2022. The last date would be 10 days before the date of the last examination of respective classes. No extension will be considered by the Board,” the CBSE circular read.

In its latest instruction to schools, the Board has stated that the marks in respect of all the practical examinations/project/ internal assessment shall be uploaded simultaneously from March 2 as no extension will be provided.

In its previous notification, last week, the CBSE had stated that Class 10, 12 Term 2 Exams 2022 would begin from April 26. However, the Board is yet to release the detailed date sheet.

The CBSE has asked schools to ensure that all the instructions of the Central/ State governments and local bodies and other statutory organisations related to the containment of spread of Covid-19 pandemic are strictly observed during the conduct of of the practical examinations/ project/ internal assessment.

“To avoid crowding and social distancing, the schools may consider splitting the group/batch of students in sub-groups of 10 students each. The first group of 10 students may attend lab work while the other is doing pen and paper work and vice-versa,” the CBSE circular added.
