The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) directed all its affiliated schools to fill up data/ information correctly during the submission of the List of Candidates (LOC).  It is pertinent to mention here that CBSE collects names of students from schools in the form of LOC for conducting the board examinations for classes 10 and 12.

A fresh directive has been issued as it has been observed that schools and students are not careful and submitting the wrong data. This creates problems if the wrong demographic details of students are filled in.

As a result, the students face problems in admissions as they usually get these data corrected after passing examinations. Similarly, if the wrong subjects are filled in, the students will not be able to appear in the examination.

In its latest circular, CBSE has stated that correct filling up of data/ information will have several benefits.

1. Exams are conducted smoothly and students do not face problems before the examination.

2. Passing documents are issued with correct details and students will not face issues/ problems later pertaining to the correctness of their data.
