Board exam
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will soon release the Class 10 and 12 board exam timetables on its official website, cbse.gov.in. The exams are set to start on February 15, and the date sheets will include the specific dates and times for each subject's exam.
The CBSE has already announced key dates for the upcoming exams. Practical exams and Internal Assessments for both Class 10 and 12 are scheduled to begin on January 1, 2025, while the theory exams are set to start on February 15, 2025. The circulars also include detailed subject-wise mark distribution for all subjects in both classes.
For winter-bound schools, CBSE issued a separate circular stating that these schools would remain closed in January due to the winter season. As a result, Practical/Project/Internal Assessments for Classes 10 and 12 in these schools were planned to be held between November 5 and December 5, 2024.
The board mandates a 75% attendance to be eligible to appear for the board examination. However, a 25% relaxation is offered only to students in cases of exigencies such as medical emergencies, participation in national or international sports events, and other serious reasons, provided the necessary documents are submitted.
