With an aim to reduce the stress on schools and teachers, the Central Board of Secondary Education has extended the last date of finalising the CBSE class 12 result from July 22 to July 25, 2021.

"As of now, it has been observed that schools are finalizing their data with full capacity. However, as last data i.e. 22.07.2021 is approaching fast and teachers involved are under stress, getting panicky and committing mistakes and sending request to CBSE to rectify these," the CBSE said in a notice.

CBSE is well aware about the time constraints and problems faced by the schools and teachers. Accordingly, CBSE has decided to extend the last date from 22.07.2021 to 25.07.2021(05:00 PM), the board informed.

The CBSE further requested the schools to work towards compiling the result by completing the moderation to avoid any last minute rush. "In case any schools is left to complete the moderation, the result of such schools will be declared separately," the board reiterated.

The board had earlier said that the common objective is declaration of valid, reliable and unbiased results of the students in the pandemic situation. "Moderating marks of Class-XI & XII will be a great responsibility, which has to be done in a manner to ensure justice and fairness to students," it had stated.

"Any differential application of policy across schools may result in either adverse impact or undue gain for some students. It should be kept in mind that the responsibility of the Result Committee is being exercised on behalf of CBSE for the entire student population and should not be seen as limited to that of a particular school," the board had added.
