The Central Board of Secondary Education on Friday announced the CBSE Class 12 Board examination results 2023. Out of the total 16,80, 511 students, 87.33 per cent students have cleared the Class 12 board exams.
There has been sharp drop of 5.38 per cent in the overall pass percentage of students this year. The overall pass percentage in 2022 was 92.71 per cent.
The Class 12 examination was held from February 15 to April 5, 2023. The examination was conducted at 6759 centres across the country. Girl students have outshone boys by 6.01 per cent and with total pass percentage of 90.68.
CBSE will not award first, second and third division to students and no merit list published to avoid unhealthy competition.
A total of 1,12,838 students have scores 90 per cent or more marks and 22,622 students have scored 95 per cent above marks in CBSE Class 12 board exam 2023.
"If any student scores less than 33% marks in one subject out of 5, they have to clear the compartment exam which will be conducted in July," Sanyam Bhardwaj, Controller of Examinations, CBSE
