Ahead of the crucial class 10 board examinations, the Central Board Of Secondary Education (CBSE) has undertaken a slew of measures for the smooth conduct of the examination.

In its latest notice, the CBSE stated that like every year, this time also focus will be ‘error free assessment’ which is an important step of any examination.

As per CBSE, a strong policy for evaluation has been put in place to ensure that evaluation is done with zero errors. Similarly, the CBSE has decided to depute one PGT (Physics, Chemistry and Biology) and one PGT (Geography, History, Economics, Political Science) as AHE (Evaluators) to assist the evaluators in Science and Social Science.

This is being done to address the quality of evaluation in Science and Social Science of Class 10.

CBSE in its latest notice said that the number of answer books to be evaluated has been fixed 20 per day in main subjects and 25 in remaining subjects to provide sufficient time for quality evaluation. The CBSE has released that zero error can only be ensured with the devotion, sincerity and availability of quality evaluators during the evaluation process.

The evaluation will be done about 10-12 days from 9 am to 5 pm. During this period, 20/25 answer books will be evaluated by each evaluator in eight hours. The evaluators will not be allowed to leave evaluation centre before the closing time, the notice read. “The schools are directed to relieve their teachers immediately as per the instructions received from the regional office concerned,” the CBSE notice mentioned.
