The Central Board Of Secondary Education (CBSE) has directed schools to upload marks of Class XI students on the website at the earliest.

The direction comes in the backdrop of a Supreme Court order for the declaration of Class XII results by July 31, 2021.

In a circular, CBSE has stated that schools are not uploading Class XI marks in the absence of reference year. Apart from this, they are not doing so with a premonition that moderation of Class XI marks will be done by the Board.

“It is clarified that moderation in both classes XI & XII will be done by schools only and not by CBSE. Further, there is no requirement of reference year for moderation of Class XI marks,” the CBSE circular read.

“All schools are requested to upload Class XI marks as per schedule. No extension in the last date for uploading Class XI marks will be allowed. The schools will be allowed to moderate marks of both Class XI and Class XII after uploading of data on website,” the circular added.
