Soon after publication of Class 12 results , the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Friday announced the much awaited results of Class 10 students. The students can access their results on the official website of the Board.

As per CBSE officials, the overall pass percentage in Class 10 stands at 94 per cent. Once again the girl students have performed better than boys at 1.41 percent.

As per official sources, the pass percentage among girls is 95.21 while 93.80 per cent boys have passed the Class 10 examination this year. Around 20,93,978 students appeared for the CBSE Class 10 examination which was held from April 26 to May 24.

While Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala recorded the highest pass percentage of 99.68%, Guwahati recorded the lowest pass percentage of 82.23%. The pass percentage of students in Bhubaneswar region in Class 10 exam stands at 96.46 %.

The Prime Minister, Narendra Modi congratulated the students after CBSE declared Class 10 results. 

“I congratulate all those who have passed their CBSE Class10 exams. I wish them a fruitful academic journey ahead. I am certain these youngsters will scale new heights of success in the coming times," tweeted Modi.

The CBSE has not released the merit to avoid "unhealthy competition" among students. The Board did not announce merit lists in 2020 and 2021 as the results were declared on the basis of alternate assessment scheme because exams could not be conducted due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Girls have done better than boys by 1.41% this year in class 10 examination. As many as 64908 students have secured 95 % marks and above. 236993 students have secured 90 % and above marks in the class 10 examination.
