The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has directed all the schools affiliated with the board to update the Online Affiliated School Information System (OASIS) data by end of February, 2022.

The CBSE said its affiliated schools are expected to update their OASIS data every year which is used for various activities as it is the major source of information in respect of affiliated schools across the country.

“However, it has been noticed that some CBSE affiliated schools are not updating it regularly which is leading to wrong or incomplete data with Board and also causing financial burden such as penalty on the schools,” the board stated in a circular.

The board said it has taken serious note of such kind of deviation by the schools.

“To ensure up to date information with regard to the affiliated schools and to avoid any hardship, all schools affiliated with CBSE are directed to update Online Affiliated School Information System (OASIS) data by end of February, 2022,” the circular undersigned by CBSE Secretary Anurag Tripathi said.

Further, the board has directed all the affiliated schools to update their website for display of “Mandatory Public Disclosure” at home page for easy access by the stakeholders to ensure transparency.

“It has also been noticed that many CBSE affiliated schools are not updating their school website with Mandatory Public Disclosure, which is in violation of Board’s directions and CBSE Affiliation Bye Laws, 2018,” the board said.

“Therefore, once again it is directed to all the CBSE affiliated schools to update their website under prominent icon leveled as “Mandatory Public Disclosure,” it added.
