The results of the much awaited special matriculation offline examination will be announced today at 4 pm, informed the School and Mass Education department.

Around 15, 136 students had appeared in the special offline Class 10 examination which was conducted by the Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha between July 30 and August 5.

The offline matriculation examination was conducted at 504 centres across the State. The exams were held in strict compliance of the SOP issued by the State government in view of the Covid-19 situation.

The students who appeared for the examination are those who were not satisfied with the marks awarded to them in the evaluation process carried out by the BSE after fixing the computation criteria.

The alternative evaluation method had been fixed by the Board after the annual matriculation examination was cancelled for the first time this year due to the Covid-19 pandemic situation.

A total of 5,74,125 students had registered for appearing the Matric examination. Out of this, as many as 5,62,010 had secured passing marks in the results which were announced by the BSE on June 25, 2021.
