AICTE issues important notice for PG scholarship for 2024-25

The All India Council For Technical Education (AICTE) has invited online proposals from approved Institutions for disbursement of Post Graduate Scholarship to the students.

This is applicable for the students admitted in AICTE approved Institutes/Programs and within the approved intake of M.E/M.Tech./M.Des. through DBT for the 1st year students of the academic year 2024-25 having gained qualifying marks with valid GATE/CEED score card.

As per the AICTE notice, all the eligible Institutes have been asked to upload the details of eligible PG students on the AICTE portal on or before December 15, 2024, and distribute the student’s Unique ID generated by the system to all the PG students admitted in AICTE approved Institutes/Programs.

The AICTE has categorically stated that bank account should be active with Aadhaar card as only Aadhaar active savings bank account will be considered since the PG Scholarship is released through Aadhaar Bridge Payment System (ABPS) mode through Public Financial Management System (PFMS). No-Frill Accounts, Jan Dhan accounts, bank accounts having limits on transactions/credits and joint accounts are not permitted. Bank accounts should not either be closed or transferred or shifted during the period of course.

The Institute shall then verify the student data and approve his/her candidature on the portal (Students verification) and approve for eligibility of disbursement of the scholarship.

“All eligible students shall upload their information on or before 30th November 2024 on AICTE web portal and the Institute shall complete the procedure of student data verification and approval for the eligibility for the receipt of scholarship on or before 15th December 2024,”AICTE notice read.
