3 year LL.B courses admission in Odisha; check timeline released by higher education department

The Higher Education Department (DHE) Odisha has released a detailed timeline for e-admission process for the 2 year LL.B courses. The process will be completed through SAMS for the academic year 2025-26.

The e-admission process will be conducted for Madhusudan Law University in Cuttack,  University Law College ( Utkal University), Bhubaneswar and  Lingaraj Law College in Berhampur.

Eligibility 

The applicants who have successfully passed the +3 examination (Any stream) or any other equivalent examination from a recognized University in India shall be eligible for admission into 3 year course. Applicants can choose minimum one  and maximum three higher education institutions as per his/her preference.

Timeline

Availability of online Common Application Form (CAF): 1 -July-2025

Last date for applying online CAF: 15-July-2025

Publication of Provisional Attachment of Seats (For First Round Selection): 21-July-2025

Selection of Slide/ Freeze Option and Online payment of admission fees by the selected students through SAMS Student's Account portal: 21 –July to 24-July-2O25 

Reporting of the applicants at allotted institutions for taking admission (for First Round Selection): 22- July to 24 July 2O25

Publication of Provisional Allotment of Seats (for Second/Final Round Selection): 29-July-2O25

Commencement of 1st Year Classes: 11-August-2025
