The authorities of Utkal University and Rama Devi Women's University in Bhubaneswar on Sunday announced the postponement of all exams scheduled to be held on March 28 and 29 in view of the two-day nationwide strike called by joint platform of central trade unions and bank employees' forum.

All examinations earlier planned to be conducted in Utkal University on March 28 and 29 (Monday and Tuesday) have been postponed. The fresh dates for conducting the said exams will be announced later. A decision in this regard was taken after approval from the Vice-Chancellor of the university.

Similarly, Rama Devi Women's University Exam Controller has also informed that all examinations scheduled to be conducted under the university on the two aforementioned days will remain deferred. The postponed exams will be conducted at a later stage.

A collective forum of trade unions has called for a pan-India shutdown on March 28 and 29 against the Centre’s policies. The bandh which has also received support from All India Bank Employees Association is likely to hit banking, transport, and other sectors as well.
