The Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) is currently being conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) at different cities across the country to determine the eligibility of candidates for teacher posts.

The national level test in Computer Based Mode (Online), which commenced on December 28, 2022, will continue till February 7 2023. 

Meanwhile, the second year examination of the Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) conducted by the Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha has been scheduled from January 4 to 10, 2023. 

Some candidates from the State, who have applied for the both the tests, have urged the CBSE to defer the test scheduled on January 10, 2023. 

Taking to Twitter, an aspirant wrote, "odisha D.EL.Ed 2nd yr exam is scheduled to hold on 4th jan to 10th jan. Lots of final yr students are also appearing in ctet 2022. Sir please help us."

"My D.Ed 2nd year exam and CTET exam are on the same time..11th January... There's no way to contact CTET...Please help.. What's the solution.?," wrote another aspirant. 

An aspirant also claimed that the CTET examination clashed with that of Odisha Secondary School Teacher Eligibility Test (OSSTET) and demanded deferment of the examination.   

"Respected Sir @MoSarkar5T PLEASE TAKE NECESSARY ACTION OSSTET & CTET EXAM ON THE SAME DAY. PLZ HELP ODISHA STUDENTS TO APPEAR BOTH," the aspirant requested.
