The government fact check agency has once again busted fake news claiming that the board exam for class 10 students will no longer be in practice under the new education policy.

PIB Fact Check on Tuesday took to Twitter to inform the same. "A Whatsapp message is claiming that under the new education policy, there will be no board exams for class 10th. The Education Ministry of India has not issued any such order," it wrote.

The said message claimed that the Cabinet has given its approval to the new decision to do away with the board exam for Class 10 students, adding that, soon, the education department will stop M.Phil courses.

It is worth mentioning that the National Education Policy envisions an education system rooted in Indian ethos that contributes directly to transforming India sustainably into an equitable and vibrant knowledge society, by providing high-quality education to all, and thereby making India a global knowledge superpower.
