Deepika Padukone surprised her fans on the first day of 2021 yesterday by deleting all her posts from her social media accounts. Fans and followers wondered as to what prompted her to take such a step. Many even thought that her accounts were hacked.

But what she did late night yesterday not only surprised but elevated the excitement quotient of her fandom.

For Deepika Padukone 2020 Was All About Gratitude and Being Present

Sharing an audio diary, the Chennai Express actress penned, "It’s 1.1.2021! Happy New Year Everyone!❤️What are you grateful for...?"

In her audio Deeps says, "You all will agree with me that 2020 was a year full of uncertainty for everybody. But for me, it was also about gratitude and about being present. And as for 2021, all I can wish for myself and for everyone around me is good health and  peace of mind."

Her soothing voice left fans and followers mesmerized. A fan commented, "Your voice is so soothing and therapeutic." Yet another follower wrote, "I can die to hear this voice again and again."

Indeed 2020 was a tough year for everyone. But it was also testing for Deepika. From her controversial JNU visit at the start of the last year to NCB's drug allegations, the queen of Bollywood has constantly grabbed the headlines. By deleting all her previous posts, it seems she wants to forget the gloomy past and move ahead with a clean slate.
