Simultaneous searches are being carried out by the officers of the anti-corruption agency at six different properties associated with Mathan. The sleuths have raided Mathan's maternal property in Pattamundai as well as her in-laws' house in Jagatsinghpur's Balikuda.
The officers have established multi-storeyed buildings in possession of Mathan in Kesura and Jharpada areas of the capital city.
Meanwhile, refuting the allegations and charges leveled against her, Mathan said, "the allegations against me are baseless and it is a conspiracy against me. The officials are inquiring and will inform if they find anything wrong."
Further clarifying about the buildings under her possession, she said, "We own property only in Kesura near Mangaraj square, not in Jharpada. We have purchased two more lands and have constructed buildings on them. In total, we own three buildings in Bhubaneswar."
"We have worked hard and earned the properties. Apart from my salary which is Rs 7, 500 as an Anganwadi worker, we operate a cottage industry which is another income source for our family. My husband is engaged in property dealings which also helped us to expand the property. I don't even have many gold assets. I am ready to face any inquiry," she added.
However, the Vigilance officials didn't disclose any information about the matter during the raid.
