Woman Dies In Odisha's Rourkela, Family Alleges Vaccine Side-Effects

A 32-year-old woman allegedly died after she was administered Covid-19 jab in Odisha.

As per reports, the deceased Kabita Dantali of Magini basti under Plant Site Police Station in Rourkela (slum) had received the Covid dose at the Gurudwara Road Covid vaccination centre on June 17.

A day after on June 18, she developed some health issues and admitted to Rourkela General Hospital (RGH). However, she succumbed while undergoing treatment.

Family members of Kabita alleged that she died due to side-effects of the Covid-19 vaccine.

Meanwhile, as per the central guidelines on such allegations of deaths after vaccination, the body has been sent to Burla Medical College and Hospital for post-mortem.

"The body has been sent for post-mortem and details can be said only after receiving the reports," said Saroj Mishra, Sundergarh CDMO.

On the other hand, the Plant Site Police have registered a case in connection to the incident after receiving death memo from the RGH and started an investigation.
