Bhubaneswar: In order to facilitate licensing of marriage and funeral functions during lockdown, the Twin City Commissionerate Police on Monday launched a web based solution in association with a private farm.
The Commissionerate Police urged those, who want to apply for the license, to visit the link "Apply for Marriage/Funeral License" on www.bhubaneswarcuttackpolice.gov.in at least before 72 hours and fill up the required information.
The same can be directly accessed at 115.243.153.201:8088/Admin/Login. The applicants will be sent an SMS about approval of their license. Also all invitees shall be sent individual messages (SMS) which they can use as permission to commute from their place of stay to function venue, the police said.
However, for now, the system is applicable for functions to be held in UPD Bhubaneswar jurisdiction only. Shortly, the service will start for Cuttack UPD.
The Commissionerate Police also people to send message to WhatsApp Number 8144207100 in case of queries.
In another related development, the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) launched doorstep COVID-19 test facility for pregnant women in Bhubaneswar.
One can avail of the facility by calling 1929 between 8 am and 11 am to book an appointment. The sample collection van will reach the next day of booking the appointment.
With a good response received today by BMC for the on-call Testing & Vaccination for Senior Citizens, BMC has decided to extend this doorstep facility for the #COVID19 Testing of Pregnant Women (No Vaccination). They can call 1929 to book appointment, tweeted BMC.
