Russian Covid-19 vaccine Sputnik V will be available in the State from Tuesday. The vaccine will be initially available at Care Hospital in Bhubaneswar.
According to sources, the employees of Dr Reddy's Laboratories will be the first to get the Sputnik V jab which will cost Rs 1145 per dose.
As many as 20 persons will be administered the Russian-manufacture vaccine on the first day and later the number will be increased, sources said adding that Care Hospital has procured 600 vaccine vials in the first phase.

The slots which are opened for the next four days on an experimental basis have been booked and the vaccination drive will be carried out between 10 am and 4 pm with all government guidelines in place, informed Dr Smita Padhi, Medical Superintendent, Care Hospital.
"We have been the part of the vaccination drive since day one. So far, we have been administering Covaxin and now we will get Sputnik V by tomorrow evening. Primarily, we will vaccinate employees of Dr Reddy's Lab," Padhi said.
"Sputnik V will be available at Rs 1145 per shot and this includes the service charges too," she added.
