The health condition of well-known playback singer Tapu Mishra, who is undergoing treatment for post Covid complications, has deteriorated and she is critical, informed her family on Thursday.
Mishra’s health condition continues to deteriorate for the past couple of days and she needs to be shifted to outside State for advance treatment, said her sister Dhrutidipa Mishra.
“If she is shifted to Kolkata or Chennai and treated there, there are chances that she would recuperate,” Dhrutidipa said. She added that the popular singer needs help of the government and people for the treatment.

“For the past two days, she is not responding to the treatment. She is in a very critical condition right now. She is on ventilator support,” said Dhrutidipa.
“As my sister is a public figure, I request the CMO (Chief Minister’s Office) to form a special technical team of doctors comprising experts so that they can look into her treatment properly,” she added.
According to sources, the singer is undergoing treatment at a private hospital for the last 10 days. Her lungs has affected 70 to 75 per cent. Her oxygen saturation dropped to 40-45 yesterday. However, her condition has improved slightly today.
Actress Anu Choudhury said, “We are in regular touch with doctors since day one when she was shifted to ventilator. Her condition had improved, but now her condition worsened. It is said that she will recover if given better treatment. I request all to come forward and contribute for the treatment of Tapu Mishra.”
