Odisha on Tuesday reported 11,086 new Covid-19 cases including 1061 positives in the 0 to 18 years age group. While 6431 cases have been reported from quarantine, 4655 are local cases, the State I&PR Department informed through its Twitter page. 

Khordha district reported highest 3,469 cases of Covid-19 infections, accounting for over 30% of the total new positives today, followed by Sundargarh with 1416 cases. 


Similarly, Cuttack reported 767 cases, Mayurbhanj (393), Balasore (323), Sambalpur (302), Bolangir (300), Jajpur (275), Jagatsinghpur (273), Kalahandi (253), Keonjhar (223) and Koraput 196 cases.

The fresh surge has pushed the Covid-19 positive tally in Odisha to 11,55,487. The active caseload in the State stands at 80, 914. As many as 5,965 patients recovered in the last 24 hours taking the cumulative recovery figures to 10,66,032.

As many as four persons have succumbed to the virus in the last 24 hours taking the death toll to 8,4,88.

In terms of fatalities, one death has been reported each from Cuttack, Kendrapara, Koraput and Sundargarh.
