Odisha: Patient Goes Missing From Covid Hospital In Cuttack, Family Clueless

Cuttack: A patient tested positive for Covid-19 has gone missing from hospital much to the dismay of his family members who are yet to find him despite searching from pillar to post over the last fortnight. 

As per sources, one Gandharva Jena of Janhapal village under Kujang police limits of Jagatsinghpur was detected Covid positive and was admitted for treatment on May 18 at Paradip Covid Hospital. He was later transferred to Covid Hospital at Cuttack SCB on May 21 after the doctors referred him for advance treatment. However, he went missing under mysterious circumstances since then. 

After failing to trace him at the hospital, his family members lodged a complaint at local police outpost. But sadly, they have been unable to search the missing patient. Gandharva's family has alleged that despite repeated pleas, the police have not sincerely made an effort in searching him.

However, upon enquiry, Jagatsinghpur Collector assured that all possible steps will be taken to trace the missing man. He also informed that the district authorities have requested Cuttack Collector to take necessary steps in this regard.
