The new cases of Covid-19 touched a record low in over last three months in Odisha as the State reported 1648 fresh infections in the last 24 hours.
 
Cuttack has the highest daily infection count today among all the districts in the State with as many as 335 people testing positive for the virus in the district. Khordha comes in second place with detection of 230 new positive cases of Coronavirus followed by Jajpur and Jagatsinghpur with 112 and 113 infection cases in last one day.
 
Bolangir and Deogarh have reported the lowest count with just one case of Coronavirus each while five other districts have also recorded cases in single digits.
 
On the other hand, new deaths however continue to show little signs of abatement in the State. The data furnished by the Health Department on Monday showed death of as many as 58 people with the district of Khordha accounting for around one-third of all new deaths reported today.
 
The total number of positives since the onset of pandemic in the State surged to 955974. Active cases remained at 20387 while recoveries stood at 930418.
 
A total of 1,40,54,214 jabs of vaccines have been administered to people across the State including 1,09,12,062 first dose. Similarly, 31,42,152 people have been inoculated with both doses of the vaccines.
