Cuttack: With Odisha Government extending statewide lockdown till June 1 amid a steady surge in cases of Covid-19, the Cuttack Municipal Corporation has announced to rollout Covid vaccination an testing on wheels for the welfare of residents of the Silver City. 

Since elderly residents and divyangs are having a hard time in going for testing and vaccination to centres, the CMC authorities have launched the special drive to reach out to them with the help of doorstep service. 

Mobile vans will visit houses where health workers will collect samples and also administer vaccines to people above 70 years of age and also differently-abled residents. 

The service will be available from 10 am to 3 pm daily on Monday to Friday. 

The municipal corporations of Bhubaneswar, Berhampur and Rourkela have also launched door-to-door vaccination drive to vaccinate the elderly and divyangs.

Meanwhile, Odisha on Tuesday reported 11099 new Covid cases.
