Covid Pandemic In Odisha: Recoveries Near 8 Lakh After Over 7K Recuperate In A Day

Covid recovery cases inched towards 8 lakh mark in Odisha after the State reported over 7 thousand single-day recoveries today.

As per data released by the State Health Department, as many as 7733 patients have recovered from the viral disease and have been discharged in the last 24 hours which takes the cumulative recovery figures to 796799.

The highest number of recoveries has been reported from Khordha where at least 1203 people have been declared free from Corona infection. Similarly, 808 patients from Cuttack, 499 from Dhenkanal have also reportedly been discharged.

The capital city of the State, Bhubaneswar has alone reported 926 recoveries in the past one day. As per the city administration, as many as 509 new infections have been detected from Bhubaneswar during the period. 

Meanwhile, Odisha as a whole continues to witness a steady fall in the number of new cases even as the fatalities due to the disease remains as high as in the forties. 

The total number of cases have climbed to 8,51,782 after 4,469 new positives in the last 24 hours. 
At least 45 patients undergoing treatment for Covid-19 have succumbed to the disease today taking the death toll to 3,302.
