Ringing an alarm for the health officials, Odisha on Saturday saw a massive jump in the Covid-19 tally so far in 2022 after 3,679 new cases were reported from different parts of the State in the past 24 hours. Of the total cases, 384 cases are in the age group of 0-18 years, informed I &PR department.

As per the data shared by the I & PR department, the highest of 1233 cases were reported from Khordha district, followed by 582 in Sundergarh, 372 in Sambalpur and 310 new Covid-19 cases were reported from Cuttack district.

With 3,679 new cases of Covid-19 infections, the total positive cases in Odisha has now reached 10,66,155. The active caseload in the State now stands at 11663.

It is pertinent to mention here that Odisha is now witnessing a sharp rise in Covid-19 cases for the past few days. The Covid-19 infection in Odisha crossed 2500-mark for the time in 2022 after 2,703 cases were reported from different parts of the State on Friday.
