After wrapping up the launch of the Creta facelift, Hyundai Motors India Limited is likely to shift its focus to a Creta EV.

According to Autocar India, Hyundai India is reportedly working on expanding the Creta range with the Creta EV. However, it seems to be bearing the Creta facelift’s design cues under the camouflage.

New spy shots of the Creta EV show that it gets the Creta facelift's headlights and tail-lights, with the overall silhouette also bearing a striking resemblance to the ICE Creta facelift.

In fact, one can hardly say the SUV to be the EV version, until you see the side profile. The side profile is also very similar to the Creta facelift but the stylish and aerodynamic designed alloy wheels make things clear. These alloy wheels are specifically designed for an EV which will help enhance the overall range of the Creta EV.

Important Features of Creta EV & Expected Price

Interiors of the Creta EV are expected to be very similar to the Creta facelift. It is likely to get the same dashboard design with twin displays. The Creta EV should get a 10.25-inch touchscreen system and a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster.

Even the feature list is expected to be the same as the Creta facelift. However, being an EV, Hyundai cars could add some EV specific features like V2L. Also, expect a different interior colour theme for the interiors of Creta EV.

As per reports, the Creta EV is likely to be powered by a 45kWh battery pack that will be supplied by LG Chem. While this may put it at a disadvantage when compared to the MG ZS EV (50.3kWh) and the upcoming Maruti eVX (48-60kWh), the Creta EV’s battery will be larger than the Nexon EV long-range’s 40.5kWh unit.

Creta EV’s real world range is expected to be around 250km on a single charge.

The launch is expected to happen by the end of 2024. In terms of pricing, the Hyundai Creta EV is likely to be priced between Rs 22 lakh and Rs 27 lakh.
