Just a week ahead of the launch, Hero Motocorp teased the much-awaited Karizma XMR revealing the details about the engine, gearbox, instrumentation, and features of the iconic bike.

The first noteworthy elements in the teaser video are stickers that give away the engine’s architecture and construction. It’s already been known that this will be a liquid-cooled engine. And the 210 sticker confirms the 210cc displacement figure.

Now it is also known that the motor will sport a DOHC architecture, and therefore a 4-valve cylinder head. This suggests a reasonable focus on top-end performance, which is also referenced by the instrumentation. This will allow the motor to rev higher effortlessly, with a redline at 10,000 rpm as displayed at the end of the video where the instrument console is shown.

Apart from that, the bike will feature dual-channel ABS which is pretty much a given fact for a motorcycle in this segment.

The 210 CC motor is expected to register 25 bhp of max power and 20 Nm of peak torque. The engine will come mated to a 6-speed gearbox.

As per reports of several media houses, the Karizma XMR 210 will feature a full fairing with an edgy design. The bike will be suspended by a telescopic fork setup at the front and mono-shock at the rear. The bike will roll on 17-inch alloys, while braking duties will be handled by disc brakes at both ends, with dual-channel ABS, as teased in the video.

The Karizma XMR 210 is expected to be priced at around Rs 2 lakh, ex-showroom. On the competition front, the motorcycle will lock horns with the Bajaj Pulsar RS 200, Suzuki Gixxer SF 250, and the Yamaha YZF-R15 in terms of pricing.
