The prices of fuel have remained unchanged at different places in Odisha on Thursday. 

While customers are reportedly paying Rs 103.47 per litre of petrol in the Capital city, diesel is available at Rs 95.03 a litre.

Similarly, petrol and diesel are available at Rs 103.78 and Rs 95. 33 per litre respectively in Cuttack.

As per the fuel rate chart, petrol is being sold at 108.91 in Malkangiri. In Ganjam, petrol costs Rs 105.80 and in Sambalpur the petroleum product is priced at Rs 103.29. Similarly, petrol is being sold at 104.05 in Bhadrak and Rs 107.82 in Koraput.

The Centre on May 21 had announced a cut in excise duty on petrol by eight per litre, and six rupees per litre on diesel to ease the burden of the common man.

Notably, India meets 80 per cent of its oil needs through imports. Retail rates are adjusted according to the global movement in crude prices.

Meanwhile, the government has decreased the price of commercial 19 kg LPG cylinders by Rs 135 per cylinder. However, there has been no change in the prices of 14.2 kg domestic LPG cylinders.
