Bengaluru is one of the mega cities in India crippled by traffic problems. Known as the Silicon Valley, travelling in the city even for a few kilometers can waste even hours of your precious time.

In order to deal with the situation, urban air mobility company Blade India (joint venture between New York-based BLADE Urban Air Mobility and New Delhi-based Hunch Ventures) has announced to start chopper services in the city thereby ensuring faster travel between Bengaluru and Kempegowda International Airport.

According to the company, the time for the commute will come down to just 15 minutes from the current 120 minutes. The flight services carrying five to six passengers at one go will be available five times a week from October 10. The price, per seat between Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd airport and Bengaluru airport will be Rs 3,250 (excluding taxes).

Blade India has also announced that it will add more routes into the travel schedule subsequently.

The air rides will be available twice a day with journey from Bengaluru to HAL airport scheduled for 9 am while the return ride will take off at 4:15 pm.

Blade India informs that it also operates such rides in Maharashtra between Mumbai, Pune and Shirdi.
