Bengaluru couple quits high-paying job to sell samosas, earns Rs 12 lakh per day

Samosa, the popular Indian snack, has changed the life of a Bengaluru couple who are now earning around Rs 45 crore annually, which is around Rs 12 lakh per day. Yes, you read that right!

The couple who left their high-paying jobs to start their dream business is earning much more than their jobs would ever pay them. This is the success story of Nidhi Singh and her husband Shikhar Veer Singh.

The two lovely humans first met while pursuing B-Tech in Biotechnology in Haryana. After completing their studies, both Nidhi and Shikhar were engaged in good companies with high salary packages.

However, one day, Shikhar saw a boy crying for samosa at a food court and that’s when the idea of launching a samosa startup struck his head. He shared his idea with his wife Nidhi, who advised him to become a scientist. However, he quit his job and moved to Bengaluru for opening ‘Samosa Singh’.

The couple even sold off their dream home worth Rs 80 lakh when they needed a bigger kitchen space and more funds for it. Now, Nidhi and Shikhar are having the last laugh as they are smiling their way to the bank. Their business has grown to such an extent that today, the company’s annual turnover is Rs 45 crore, around Rs 12 lakh per day.

The menu of Samosa Singh is quite innovative as they have an array of out-of-the-box samosa options. The couple is currently planning to expand their business to other parts of the country and hopefully internationally in the near future.
