TVS teases mystery electric scooter to be unveiled on Aug 23

Indian two-wheeler major TVS Motor Company teased an all-new electric scooter to be unveiled on August 23.

While more details of the upcoming launch are to follow soon, there is a subtle hint of the scooter in the teaser being the Creon that TVS had showcased as a concept a few years back during the 2018 Auto Expo.

The official invite had the word ‘electric-fying’ in it, which shows that the Hosur-based company plans to expand its EV portfolio. The image also had four vertically stacked square lights, which resemble the headlamp of the Creon concept unveiled a few years ago. As of now, these are the two things suggesting a new electric scooter launch.

It is believed that this will be a unique, youthful, and perhaps even performance-oriented product given that the invite mentions “Thrill has a date”.The date of unveiling is August 23 and the venue is Dubai. The international venue also hints at the fact that this will be a premium offering.

TVS’ EV portfolio consists of only the iQube, currently the second highest-selling electric scooter in the country. With the top position currently held by the Ola S1, something sporty-looking like the Creon should allow TVS to put up a strong fight for the top position.
