Mahindra XUV400 Exclusive Edition bids cross Rs 1 Crore mark, auction still open

The bid for a Mahindra & Mahindra’s Exclusive Edition of XUV400 crossed Rs 1 crore mark in just four hours of the commencement of the auction on January 26.

The auction began at 11am on the Republic Day and will end on January 31, 11:59pm.

On January 20, Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) had announced that the one-of-its-kind, exclusive edition of All-Electric XUV400, will be auctioned.

As per M&M, the proceeds from the highest bid will be given for a social cause and distributed amongst Mahindra Sustainability Award winners towards clean air, clean energy, green mobility and clean water. The SUV will be handed over to the winning bidder by its Chairman Anand Mahindra on February 10, 2023.

The one-off exclusive edition, designed by Mahindra’s Chief Design Officer Pratap Bose in collaboration with fashion designer, Rimzim Dadu was first showcased at the Mahindra Tech Fashion Tour on November 28, 2022. The winner will also get an exclusive pass to witness the inaugural round of all-electric FIA Formula E championship in Hyderabad on February 11, 2023.

The auction, which is hosted on the Car & Bike’s website and is conducted by Ernst & Young, saw an overwhelming response just minutes after it was made live online.

Currently, the bid is at Rs 1,08,50,000 which was made by Jog Dhian Overseas LLP from Yamuna Nagar, Delhi.

The auction still has five days before the hammer falls.

The winning bidder has the choice to either donate his/her bid to support the winners of the Mahindra Rise Sustainability Champion Awards announced on November 28, 2022, and/or donate the amount to a not-for-profit of their choice. Furthermore, Mahindra & Mahindra will match the winning bid and distribute it to support the winners of the Mahindra Rise Sustainability Champion Awards, and/or to a not-for-profit.
