Mahindra Scorpio N: Variants and price revealed

The new Mahindra Scorpio N gets five trims – Z2, Z4, Z6, Z8, and Z8L (where 'L' stands for luxury pack, similar to the XUV700). Test drives for the Mahindra SUV will begin on July 5, with booking set to open on July 30.

The starting price of Mahindra & Mahinra Scorpio N is Rs 11.99 lakh, going up to Rs 19.49 lakh. However, this pricing is only for the manual transmission variants, with the pricing for the automatic and four wheel drive versions to be announced soon, revealed the car maker on Sunday.

As per an M&M media release, the Scorpio-N is powered by a TGDi mStallion (petrol) engine with 149.14 kW (200 PS) of power and 380 Nm of torque, and mHawk (diesel) engine with 128.6kW (175PS) of power and 400 Nm torque, offered in both 6-speed Manual and Automatic Transmissions, and 4X4 as option.

2022 Mahindra Scorpio N: petrol variant break-up

The Scorpio N gets the 2.0-litre, turbo-petrol engine that produces 203hp and 370Nm via a 6-speed manual transmission. However, the engine produces 10Nm of extra torque when paired to the 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission that’s only offered on Z4, Z8 and Z8L variants. Mahindra offers the petrol powertrain as standard across the variants in a 2WD format. However, there is no 4WD option with the petrol range.
