Hyundai has revealed the first look of the sixth-gen Verna in new design sketches. The sketches showcase the final form of Hyundai’s sedan which till now had only surfaced briefly in teaser images.

The new sedan looks quite sleek and sharp compared to the outgoing model. There is in fact a more mature stance as well that makes it look almost like a D-segment sedan.

The front profile gets a sharp strip of LED daytime running light akin to the Kia Seltos. It is accompanied by the main headlights integrated in the bumper. The huge grille dominates the front styling of the new Verna.

The smooth sloping roofline that merges with the boot, more like a coupe, can be noticed in the new design sketches. The tail lights too get a sharp chiselled appearance.

The interior for now remains under wraps though we expect details to emerge as the launch nears.

Hyundai has confirmed that the new Verna will be available in four trim levels – EX, S ,SX and SX(O).

The all-new Verna comes with a new 1.5 litre turbo GDi petrol engine that is available with 6-speed Manual Transmission (6MT) and 7-speed Dual Clutch Transmission (7DCT).

It will also be available with 1.5 litre MPi petrol engine that comes with 6-speed Manual Transmission (6MT) and Intelligent Variable Transmission (IVT).

The vehicle will be available in seven single-tone and two dual-tone colour options, with three new single-tone colours – Abyss Black, Atlas White and Tellurian Brown.

Bookings for the new Verna are currently open with a launch set for March 21, 2023.
