International Motorcycle and Accessories Exhibition (EICMA) 2022 marked Royal Enfield’s great comeback to the mid-sized cruiser segment.

The Eicher-owned Indian manufacturer has been in fact among the absolute protagonists of the category since the 1950s and at the Milan Show, it showcased the Super Meteor 650 as a world première.

The new bike combines the 650cc twin-cylinder engine, already appreciated on the Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650, to a new frame designed by Harris Performance.

It draws power from the familiar 648 cc fuel-injected, four-stroke, parallel-twin air-cooled engine that develops 47 bhp and 52 Nm of peak torque.

Among the main features, the cruiser sports upside-down fork, LED headlights together with an advanced turn-by-turn navigation system. The standard Super Meteor 650 will be offered in five colour options while the Grand Tourer variant is available in Celestial Red and Celestial Blue.

Royal Enfield is expected to price the Super Meteor 650 around Rs 3.35 lakh (ex-showroom) making it the most expensive bike from the RE brand.

EICMA, acronym for International Motorcycle and Accessories Exhibition, is the most important trade fair event for the entire 2-wheel sector at the world level.
