Tata Motors has thrown open its booking window for the buyers of updated Harrier and Safari by accepting bookings for the SUVs from Thursday.

Both the SUVs get several updates, including Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), becoming the first Tata cars to come equipped with this feature.

As per a Team BHP report, the 2023 Harrier and Safari have features such as forward collision warning, autonomous emergency braking, traffic sign recognition, high beam assist, lane departure warning, blind spot detection and lane change alert as part of its ADAS suite.

The SUVs also get a 360-degree camera, a panoramic sunroof and ambient lighting to offer to its customers.

Moreover, Tata has also upgraded the infotainment system in the Harrier and Safari. The 8.8-inch unit in the previous models has been replaced with a broader 10.25-inch touchscreen, which supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Both SUVs now get updated drive modes, ESP terrain response system and a 7-inch semi-digital instrument cluster as well.

However, the 2023 Tata Harrier and Safari remain mechanically unchanged. The SUVs continue with the 2.0-litre turbo-diesel producing 170hp and 350Nm, mated to either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic gearbox. However, this engine is now Bharat Stage VI, Phase II compliant.

With the new features and the engine being Global Real Driving Emissions (RDE)-compliant, both SUVs are expected to be priced Rs 50,000-Rs 1 lakh more.

Tata is slated to launch both the updated SUVs next month.
