In yet another mishap at the same Sector 13 near Swargadwar in Puri, two West Bengal tourists drowned while taking a bath in the sea on Thursday. 

While one of the deceased has been identified as Arindam Das, the identity of another deceased is yet to be ascertained. Both were residents of the Hooghly area in West Bengal. 

According to a source, Das along with some other tourists from his area was taking a bath in the sea at Sector 13 near Swargadwar when he and another person were swept away by a huge wave. The lifeguards immediately launched a rescue operation. Later, they fished out their bodies.

The deceased were Ranjan Das and his son, residents of the Howrah area. Ranjan, his son, and three others were enjoying their bath in the sea when a huge tide came and swept three of them away. While the lifeguards managed to rescue one of them, the father-son duo went missing. 

Later, their bodies washed ashore. They were immediately rescued and rushed to Puri district headquarters hospital (DHH) where the doctors declared them received dead.
